Call for papers: 

Dear colleagues, 

We are inviting proposals for presentations at “New trends in Chinese as a Second Language” (CSL), a two-day international conference focusing on Chinese as an additional language (L2, L3, L4, Ln). The conference will take place in Lancaster, UK, September 14-15, 2023. The abstract submission deadline is May 15, 2023.

·  Xiaofei Lu (Pennsylvania State)  

·  Clare Wright (Leeds)  

We welcome submissions in all areas and approaches to the study of L2 Chinese, and we encourage submissions independently of the variety of Chinese being studied. We aim to bring together researchers and students from a variety of disciplines (applied linguistics, psychology, education, etc.) who share an interest in the acquisition, processing or teaching of L2 Chinese across the lifespan and in a variety of settings (in the classroom and in the wild, face to face and in digital environments). 

Abstracts can be submitted (via EasyAbs) from March 15, 2023. The submission deadline is May 15, 2023. Notifications of acceptance will be communicated by June 15, 2023. For more information, please visit our website.
